January 2003 -- Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine website was hacked by someone who didn't approve of the content of the film (see image to the right). See this site's review of the film. The site referenced in the screenshot is Truth About Bowling (archived offsite link).

October 2003 -- Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold's home video Rampart Range was released by Jefferson County to the general public.

October 28, 2003 -- Brian Rohrbough and Susan Petrone, parents of deceased victim Daniel Rohrbough, filed a lawsuit against former Arapahoe County Deputy James Taylor, accusing Taylor of defamation, negligence and outrageous conduct. They said he had told them he had seen Danny run from the school to be cut down by SWAT team member Sergeant Dan O'Shea's 'friendly fire'.

November 3, 2003 -- Colorado Attorney General Ken Salazar asked U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Babcock to allow Delbert Elliott, the director of the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of Colorado, to review dozens of withheld Columbine-related documents and issue a public report. Jefferson County Sheriff Ted Mink filed a motion that would allow him to intervene in the court fight over the destruction of Columbine documents ordered by U.S. Magistrate Judge Patricia Coan.

November 8, 2003 -- Philip Duran (the fellow who helped the Columbine gunmen purchase the TEC-DC9 semi-automatic weapon) was released from an electronic monitoring program and placed on parole.

November 20, 2003 -- During a Jefferson County School Board meeting a group of Columbine parents asked JeffCo to release the sealed report of the Columbine massacre. The report was compiled for school district attorneys as they prepared for several lawsuits.

December 18, 2003 -- Former Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy John Hicks spoke with two investigators from the Colorado Attorney's Office in his home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The investigators wanted answers regarding why the August 7, 1997 complaint against Eric Harris was filed in a three ring binder that had nothing to do with the investigation.
